CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Plasmon (LSE:PLM), the trusted source in archiving systems, today announced a 50 percent year-on-year growth in the companys UDO Archive Appliance sales. Plasmon has also seen solid increases in the overall market adoption of its UDO2 technology with the certification and shipment of UDO2 by GE Healthcare, AGFA, IBM and Konica Minolta.

“Plasmon is seeing strong interest in our UDO Archive Appliance as a result of corporate governance and regulatory compliance standards, e-discovery and increasing demand for secure, searchable, long-term archives,” said Rod Powell, CEO, Plasmon. “This positive growth for Plasmon’s UDO2 archival storage solutions is evidence that the company is responding to market demand and helping businesses meet unique business requirements.”

An example of the end user adoption of Plasmon’s UDO Archive Appliance is Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s recent upgrade to Plasmon’s UDO2 solutions to double the amount of data the hospital can store.

“Plasmon’s UDO Archive Appliance is meant to be the ultimate archive in case of a major catastrophe,” said Peter Kijewskp, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. “I chose the Plasmon UDO solution because its capacity, scalability, reliability and price were all in sync with my road map for the Center’s storage practice.”
