PALO ALTO, Calif. -- A new study showing year-end market size, market share, and four-year forecasts (2007 - 2011) for all core market segments tracked by The Radicati Group, Inc. is now available.

The study shows the number of e-mail users worldwide is increasing from 1.2 billion in 2007 to 1.6 billion in 2011. This represents an average annual growth rate of 7% over the next four years.

The installed base of the Corporate E-mail Market is expected to increase from 393 million seats in 2007, to 569 million seats in 2011. Revenues in this market will grow from $2.7 billion to over $4 billion in the same timeframe.

The study shows steady growth in real-time communications as well. The installed base of the Enterprise Instant Messaging market will increase from 67 million in 2007, to 127 million in 2011. Revenue in this market will increase from $134 million in 2007, to $295 million in 2011.
