SALT LAKE CITY -- To improve reliability and speed backup of critical data, the Town of Blacksburg, Va., has selected the Revinetix Sentio™ Pro 2000 6TB Disk2Disk2Disk™ data protection appliance to replace its legacy tape system.

Following an extensive six-month evaluation, the disk-based Sentio was selected because of its simplicity of use, scalability and affordable price point.

“The Sentio system stood out initially because of its simple, elegant and easy-to-use interface, but it was the pricing model that sealed the deal,” said Steve Jones, Director of Technology for the Town of Blacksburg. “Before Revinetix, keeping up with all the licenses, the media, the hardware, verifying the tape back-ups, was difficult, time consuming and expensive. Revinetix eliminates all of this with its unique pricing model that removes server and agent licensing fees, making it a truly affordable solution.”
