ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- SiliconSystems, Inc., a world leader in advanced storage technology, today announced the continued expansion of its Asia-Pacific sales channel by appointing five of Asia's leading technology distributors. The distributors, which were selected based on their outstanding reputations and long-standing relationships with industry-leading OEMs and contract manufacturers, have been added to meet the burgeoning demand for the company's SiliconDrive technology in the region. The companies and their corresponding sales regions include: AV Concept in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand; Control Synergy in Australia and New Zealand; SemiPlus in South Korea; SolidGear in Japan, and Weikeng in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

"SiliconSystems recognized the enormous market potential in the Asia-Pacific region several years ago and continues to make investments in the region to support the company's rapid growth," said Michael Hajeck, CEO at SiliconSystems. "The company has been very successful in gaining widespread acceptance of its SiliconDrive technology by both industry-leading OEMs headquartered in the region and contract manufacturers supplying a wide array of OEMs headquartered around the world. This acceptance, along with our careful selection of world-class sales channel partners, has catapulted the company into a leadership position in the rapidly growing market for advanced storage technology."
