BOULDER, Colo. -- Spectra Logic Corporation, the innovator in data backup and archive, has announced a new addition to its executive leadership team. As senior vice president (SVP) of worldwide sales, Bob Koecheler oversees all of Spectra Logics revenue-generating activities around the globe.

Bob Koecheler’s main responsibilities include: accelerating Spectra Logic’s growing tape market share; relationship development to support Spectra Logic’s innovative product category – RAID-6-based nTier Archive & Backup servers; and expanding the channel sales program. He will manage seven sales territories worldwide and aid Spectra Logic management with strategic planning and execution.

“Spectra Logic began the search for a new SVP to help execute our disk and tape strategies and meet an aggressive revenue plan this and future fiscal years,” said Nathan Thompson, Spectra Logic’s CEO. “We are thrilled that our extensive search led us to a highly qualified candidate with more than three decades of storage-industry experience. I’ve known Bob for many years as a competitor, and have always been impressed by his dedication to teamwork, energy, enthusiasm and total commitment to winning.”
