A rotting whale carcass washed up on the Oregon coast. Too big to move or bury, the Oregon Department of Transportation came up with a brilliant idea -- detonating dynamite next to the dead animal. Their hope was that the remains would be blown into small chunks that scavengers could quickly snap up for snacks.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Forget cats and dogs. It was rainin' whale.
