Vyopta Releases Apple iPhone/iPod touch Application for Control of Tandberg Systems

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 15 2009  Vyopta, a premier software developer of video and unified collaboration applications, today released a new software application that enables users of TANDBERG MXP and C-series video conferencing systems to control video and voice calls and conferences. The new application, Vyopta vControl, runs on the Apple iPod touch and Apple iPhone.

Utilizing Vyopta's vControl, users of TANDBERG video conferencing systems can easily initiate video and voice calls and quickly join video and voice conferences. The vControl application offers a universal interactive user interface to control TANDBERG endpoints and TANDBERG Codian MCU systems, eliminating the need for audio conferencing tabletop endpoints.

  Some of the key features include:
- Intuitive interface for "click-to-call" dialing from phonebook and
call history entries, control of near-end and far-end PTZ camera,
speaker volume, microphone and viewing layouts;
- Flexibility to perform voice and video calls using IP address, e164
and URI dialing;
- Real-time messaging for incoming and outgoing calls; and
- Simplified ability to join conferences on any video or audio
conference bridge.
