6:00 PM - If you passed on that trip to Orlando (and it seems lots did -- Storm Clouds Gather Over SNW), you may have been, well, premature. (No one said "chicken," now, did they?) Skies are blue, rains are gone, and a robust breeze refreshes the resort location of SNW.

Further, the National Hurricane Center says Wilma has blown north and eastward. The worst is over -- for Florida:

  • ALL HURRICANE AND TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS FORTHE FLORIDA PENINSULA...INCLUDING LAKE OKEECHOBEE...AND THE FLORIDAKEYS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED. HOWEVER...GALE FORCE WINDS CONTINUEIN SOME AREAS...

So come on down. Maybe you can drive some of us East Coasters home if Wilma waits for us there.
