Winter Malaise

IT professionals are battling the winter career blues, according to the results of a January Hudson IT staffing firm phone survey of more than 9,000 workers. The poll found that career confidence slid from the month before, with more IT professionals expressing less enthusiasm about personal finances, job satisfaction, and career prospects than in December.

IT professionals are battling the winter career blues, according to the results of a January Hudson IT staffing firm phone survey of more than 9,000 workers. The poll found that career confidence slid from the month before, with more IT professionals expressing less enthusiasm about personal finances, job satisfaction, and career prospects than in December.Of course, back in December, the respondents were unusually positive about their careers so this mght not be the most fair comparison to make. In this week's Pipeline poll threw out the question to Systems Management Pipeline readers about job satisfaction and career confidence. Early results show that over half are pretty confident about their job security. However, only 20 percent described themselves as really happy with their positions.
