As apps get more complex, they get harder to manage. One result is changes often lead to unintended outages, resulting in downtime and lost business. Application Configuration Manager from Managed Objects aims to change that. Using agentless discovery, it defines, identifies and models the components and dependencies of applications. The resulting map of dependencies can help admins understand the impact of changes before they're made. ACM also records and reports on configuration state and can compare existing configurations to "gold" configurations to track drift. The data discovered by ACM can be imported into a configuration management database. Pricing starts at $100,000.
