ATLANTA -- CRC DataProtection has partnered with Asigra, EMC and VMware to build a system that provides the ability for businesses to lose a complete server at the servers primary location – and recover the complete server at an offsite location – in six hours or less.

Here’s how it works: Servers are virtualized at the client site; the virtualized server file is backed up using Asigra Televaulting to EMC storage. CRC maintains emergency servers in its data centers. Should a client lose a site, CRC restores the virtualized server file to the emergency server, and the server then can be used in production by the client. Even more valuable is the fact that the newly created server will continue to be backed up immediately.

All of the above is offered at pricing that, until now, would have been impossible. "This offer really is groundbreaking," said Robert Gerace, CEO and founder of CRC DataProtection. "We use unique, proprietary methods for keeping costs down as well as leveraging costs across different users. The upshot is safe, reliable back up and Server Disaster Recovery at half the cost of our competitors."
