ACTON, Mass. -- eIQnetworks®, Inc., a global provider of next-generation security information management (SIM) solutions, today announced that H3C, wholly-owned subsidiary of 3Com and leading global IP networking supplier, has chosen to OEM Enterprise Security Analyzer (ESA) as its exclusive SIM appliance solution.
Under the terms of the OEM agreement, H3C is marketing and selling eIQ’s ESA as SecCenter to a broad range of customers in mainland China and Hong Kong. ESA was selected over the competition because of its breadth of functionality, ease of use and broad device and systems support, which includes the management of 3Com switches, routers and security products.
“H3C has partnered with eIQnetworks because their SIM solution is unlike anything on the market,” said Mr. ShunLin Zhou, vice president & security production line team manager, H3C. “While other vendors offer point solutions, our eIQ-powered SecCenter appliance provides integrated functionality that combines log and flow data to meet our customers’ SIM requirements.”
SecCenter leverages ESA’s ability to provide essential real-time security intelligence that enables customers to proactively detect breaches, identity violations and eliminate false positives while meeting complex audit and compliance requirements. Delivered as an appliance, SecCenter also offers customers the value and simplicity of purchase, deployment and maintenance.
“We are pleased to be playing an integral role in the development of SecCenter as an appliance to help HC3 customers improve overall IT security,” said Vijay Basani, chief executive officer at eIQnetworks. “This new offering enables H3C to enhance its network security portfolio while allowing customers to easily build effective security best practices and meet evolving security challenges.”
