Silver Peak has secured $17 million in series C funding, bringing the total investment in the company to $42 million

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Silver Peak Systems, Inc.,a leading provider of scalable Wide Area Network (WAN) accelerationsolutions, today announced that it has secured $17 million in series Cfunding, bringing the total investment in the company to $42 million. ArtisCapital Management led the latest financing round, which includesinvestments from existing Silver Peak investors Benchmark Capital, DuffAckerman and Goodrich LLC, Greylock Partners and Pinnacle Ventures.

The new funding will provide working capital to expand day-to-dayoperations, including rapid growth in the company's global sales and supportinfrastructure.
