TMS Gets IBM Certification

HOUSTON -- Texas Memory Systems, Inc., manufacturer of the Worlds Fastest Storage®, today announced that its RamSan-400 has obtained the IBM "Ready for IBM DB2" designation.

To achieve the IBM "Ready for IBM DB2" designation, the Texas Memory Systems RamSan-400 solid state disk successfully passed a series of IBM specified tests that authenticated its compatibility with IBM’s DB2 data server software. As a result of Texas Memory Systems achieving this status, users of IBM DB2 data server can confidently deploy the RamSan-400 to help accelerate OLTP applications such as ERP (enterprise resource planning) as well as their Business Intelligence solutions.

The Texas Memory Systems RamSan-400 can deliver up to 400,000 I/Os per second, up to 3,000 megabytes per second of bandwidth, and sub-15 micro second response time. This high performance makes the RamSan-400 considerably faster than hard disk or flash memory based storage systems.
