HP Ships QLogic Products
QLogic SANbox switches and SANblade HBAs are now shipping in the second generation HP StorageWorks MSA 1000 Small Business SAN Kit

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- QLogic Corp. (NASDAQ:QLGC), the leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs), stackable switches and blade server switches, today announced that QLogic SANbox® switches and SANblade® HBAs are now shipping in the second generation HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array (MSA) 1000 Small Business SAN Kit.

The HP MSA1000 Small Business SAN Kit provides customers with a complete, entry-level solution tailored to meet the needs of first-time SAN users and small businesses. The second generation MSA1000 Small Business SAN Kit comes in a single box and includes everything necessary for SAN novices to be up and running within a few minutes. Included in the second generation package are one QLogic SANbox 1404 4Gb Fibre Channel switch with 10 ports, two SANblade QLE220 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI Express HBAs, a MSA1000 storage enclosure and a 10 step hardware installation poster. The solution is released for use in Linux and Windows environments, and includes installation wizards that make setup a snap for resellers, technology consultants and end-users.
