Network Appliance announced the worldwide availability of the QLogic SANbox 9000 Core and SANbox 5600 Stackable Series of switches

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Network Appliance, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTAP), a leader in advanced networked storage solutions, today announced the worldwide availability of the QLogic SANbox® 9000 Core and SANbox 5600 Stackable Series of switches. Combined with NetApp® FAS systems and QLogic host bus adapters (HBAs), these newly supported switches enable customers to experience complete business continuity, maintain application performance and uptime, and cost-effectively scale their networks.

Designed to meet the rigorous availability, performance and price demands of data centers, the SANbox 9000 is a new class of core switch that takes less rack space, power, and cooling than any director switch available today. The SANbox 5600 Series is a stackable switch featuring high performance 4Gb and 10Gb Fibre Channel ports, designed to deliver seamless modular scalability, in a simple-to-manage, pay-as-you-grow solution. The availability of both coupled with QLogic HBAs gives NetApp customers a completeSAN solution that is easy to deploy and fully interoperable.
