Aruba Networks said Monday that enhancements for its ArubaOS Mobility Software will support up to 1,000 simultaneous 802.1X authentication transactions per second.

Aruba noted that the enhanced product will address the explosive growth of devices equipped with Wi-Fi technology.

"These new wireless devices and the employees using them must be quickly and securely connected wherever they are," Aruba said.

As the number of WLANs in a business configuration increases, Aruba said, it becomes necessary to reduce operational costs by deploying a scalable centralized management system. Aruba said the new ArubaOS software can manage up to 700 distributed controllers " an increase over the previous limit of 64.
