Laptops and mobile e-mail devices let people work just about everywhere: airplanes, the subway, the dinner table and even walking down the street. But some harried workers don't know where to stop.

A recent poll by office-supply retailer Staples found that one in five U.S. small-business managers admits to reading work-related e-mail while in the bathroom. Now, we don't know about you, but we feel like asking, "Are you really that busy?"

Coincidentally, the poll also found that 21 percent of respondents--again, one in five--works while eating dinner at least four to five times per week. Price check on hand sanitizer, aisle 5! --Lorna Garey, [email protected]
