Chris Winkler is the director of digital software and solutions for the Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) at John Deere. He leads global teams in building and supporting cloud-based software platforms that allow customers, dealers, and third-party solution providers to leverage data, models, and insights. Before joining Deere, Chris was vice president of engineering at Granular, an agriculture technology company, and held various roles at DuPont Pioneer®, where he developed novel analytical methods and models for advancing plant-breeding programs and precision agriculture. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in meteorology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
