Michael Peeters is vice-president of imec’s R&D activities in the connectivity domain. Prior to joining imec, Michael headed the Nokia Incubator as well as Nokia's innovation portfolio – following roles as CTO of the wireless division at Alcatel-Lucent and – before that – CTO of Alcatel-Lucent's wireline division. Michael has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and many white papers. He holds patents in the access and photonics domains. Michael Peeters earned a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and Photonics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, as well as a master's degree in Electrotechnical Engineering.
